AMD does MLC biz.yahoo.com AMD has always turned up their nose at MLC because of the performance and reliability losses. This development sounds interesting, but I'm wondering how much die-space savings they really get. And yet, they're planning a 1 Gbit chip -- I wonder on what process? My impression is that their Flash fabs lag quite a bit behind the leading edge processes.
