TD Securities - Action Notes - Hold - "do not purchase"

RIM rose 12% on speculation that its GPRS BlackBerry launch in the UK is imminent. This would not be materially sooner than expected, nor incremental to our financial outlook. We expect low volume shipments of data-only CPRS BlackBerries to BT Cellnet beginning in !2/F02 (5k RIM CPRS) device shipments in F02. We view the share price run up as an overreaction to expected news and do not suggest clients purchase the stock. BT Cellnet already press released on Apr. 19 that its 'consumer' GPRS service will be available on May 18 starting with the Motorola Timeport 260 CPRS phone, followed by other handsets and PDAs.
