I think you are imagining someone who laughs at a funeral (not that that is a very bad thing - imo). I think your whole concept of joy may be a bit superficial. But I am talking about inner joy, which does not necessarily show- and thus is not inappropriate as a societal reaction because it is on the inside. Unless you think even our innards must be appropriate. I find that view very limited indeed. And I am reminded of some of your views which I find most inappropriate- I do not think you would want me to be the arbiter of what is appropriate for you and your internal world, and I certainly wouldn't want to live under your schema of what is appropriate.
