Oh. Admit it. What really bothers you is that the conservatives spent [in round numbers] some $50M of federal tax dollars and through all the BS of Whitewater, travelgate, assassinations of Ron Brown and selling nuclear secrets to the Chinese, suicides, coverups, travelgate, options trading....etc., and all they could ever come up with was a few BJs, a cigar, and a blue dress. For that kind of money they could have made Mother Theresa look like she was running a child prostitution ring for the communists.

And you've got your standard bearer's of morality on the conservative side...Newt who quitely slips out of town because he's bonking around for the second time on his second wife; Henry Hyde that has a "youthfull indescretion" in his 50's. I had a little trouble keeping track of the House Speaker[s] that were dropping like flies; Al D'Amato getting his retirement account boosted by a flipped IPO. What was the name of that Republican Gov of Mississippi[member of Dan Qualye's Family Values group] that was flitting around the world with his mistress, while the ol' wife was sitting back in the Governor's mansion? Then there's all the promises of respecting State's Rights....while intending to expand the use of emminent domain...I got a real kick out of the Patient's Rights bill....you have the right to be the victim of malpractice.

But you've missed the newest cliche[s] brought to you by no other than our beloved Sen P. Gramm ....http://washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A36619-2001May16.html

Like many congressional Republicans, Gramm said the increasing burden of taxation on the rich is tearing at the social fabric of the nation. "We are approaching the point when society is becoming unstable," he said.

There was a really fabulous editorial a few weeks ago by that demo-lib? Charles Krauthammer [my apologies to Charles if I misspelled his surname]. Charles said that President Bush was acting like an idiot on purpose. That's how bad it's getting...the President is being defended by staunch conservatives ... saying that the President of the United States of America is pretending to be an idiot.....

Something to be really proud of eh, jlallen?

LOL,
