i believe there are immense amounts of counterfeit frizzlebuns in circulation. in South Africa i came across lots of them...it's one of the countries used as a go between for North Korean made dollars. for a long time the USD was one of the easiest currencies to forge. no idea as to the potential extent of the problem inherent in this...but as you say, it's all just paper anyway...a confidence game. a counterfeit dollar that isn't recognized as such can only cause little harm...since the Fed is expanding the confetti supply at unprecedented rates, a few frizzles more or less won't make much of a difference....
