Hi Cathy
I do not compare Sam and Scott. Sam was not doing anything useful (exept of course spending the cash-flow, that Umang once created) and he did not had a vision. Scott had a vision, but did not implemented it within timeframe. Centura or named back to Gupta is doing fine. Most of the old staff was going to that new company under Platinum Equity. I'm working with my own business plan to start to sell our applications worldwide. My internet sales and marketing strategy did get lot of leads (over 600 within few years), but not much closed deals. To close those deals, I need bigger company and professional management. For this, I need capital. To close those capital offers, we have got, I need seed money. Still, we have representitive partnerships already established in emerging markets, like West Africa, India, Singapore, Malaysia, UAE. Nothing much happening in Estonia. In India, the PC sales was increasing 68% in 4Q 2000. I will hope the close my first round of investment this summer and probably will move the office to New York afterwards. Most of the interest to our products are still coming from US, including House of representative, Motorola corp, United Nations, etc. It just need a little bit of marketing and professional english speaking management and we can lead the market. My competitions has been moved out from market, some with the ASP business model year ago and now in bancrupcy or restructuring, some have sold the businesses for customer and partner list only. My products are made using Centura tools and includes the SQLBase OEM licensees.
