Some heavy words from RIM's CEO: dailynews.yahoo.com .. Balsillie [RIM'S CEO] said RIM plans to license its technology, but Glenayre is an example of a company that imitates, rather than innovates, and for an integrated email solution to work it cannot be performed by, or licensed to, ``amateurs'' like Glenayre. ``We certainly intend to license this technology to help develop the market for the benefit of the customers. But we look for reputable and substantial companies who can provide a quality service for the market,'' Balsillie added. ... Hopefully this will stir up some competitive juices at GEMS -- or is this too much to hope for?
