Hey Ted.. isnt it kind of strange for a government to be preaching more energy and conservation and such to be cutting funding as I've heard Bush is doing for alternative fuels? (I would assume this to be wind, solar and ethanol among others)

I mean c'mon.. those technologies arent threatening Big Oil's profits that much are they?

I also found it amusing that James Watt was quoted by the Democrats as saying these policies were nothing different that what he and Reagan proposed 20 years ago.

I mean.. if this goes thru.. Bush will have guaranteed that the US will remain for the foreseeable future the largest consumption nation of energy out there.. not to mention the worlds biggest polluter.

Reagan and his ignorance of acid rain will hold nothing to this guy.. I sure hope there are enough Democrats and brave Republicans to stop the excesses of this plan.
