09:45 ET Dow -11, Nasdaq -21, S&P -3.18: [BRIEFING.COM] The markets are lower to start the day with both the Dow and the Nasdaq posting losses. Energy related issues are experiencing buy interest which is not surprising in light of yesterday's comments from the President. Oil and natural gas have started the day higher. Other sectors seeing strength include insurance and drugs. Technology is broadly on the defensive though no real extensive losses in the early going. Financials are also being sold to start the day.
