Hehe. I hope Bush does not one thing to put a bandage on CA's problem. Let them suffer until a real solution comes online.

In the meantime, if prices skyrocket such that few can afford energy, then energy suppliers will lower prices as sure as the noonday sun. They can only charge what people are willing to pay.

The higher prices become, the harder Californians will work to think of ways to decrease fuel consumption. That's what the fruits and nuts out there have been clamoring for all these years anyway. Now they have it. They should be happy.

Also, they are constantly complaining about how Americans use so much more energy relative to places like India. Well, now they are living more like the Indians -- blackouts and all. Maybe they'll even begin to live even more like third worlders. They should be happy. The future looks bright. Well... actually it looks dim, but that's good. (grin)
