Yep CMAL not so casual WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--After a week of speculation, Casual Male Corp. (CMAL, news, msgs) sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection from creditors in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan early Friday afternoon. The Canton, Mass., retailer of clothes for large men listed assets of $299.3 million and liabilities of $244.1 million in its Chapter 11 petition. In its filing, the company estimated the number of creditors at 1,000, but added that funds would be available for distribution to unsecured creditors.
