Jotul is a top of the line Norwegian wood stove.

I just checked for the latest kwh expenses and we pay about 24¢ per kwh here. Plus, we are in the upper echelon for year round sun. We will have a dual system for electric in the house(12v and 110ac) with the only big draw coming from the fridge(we'll get a more expensive cost effective model). I haven't finalized anything yet, but the energy situation is really pushing me towards less consumption and passive solar. Crude looks like it wants to go higher, yes?
