You are to be commended!!!

We don't run the air either. Every night I open up the windows and use those big box fans to bring in the outside air which is always cool. The house cools down quickly. In the morning I close up all the windows and the house stays pretty cool. We were surprised at how cool our garage stays if we keep it closed......almost like a fridge. As long as your place is insulated, it's not that hard to keep it relatively cool. Although it might not be that easy if someone lives in Death Valley!!

At night and after dark the demand on the grid is less so that's when I run my clothes dryer and dishwasher.

I have heard that people can save a bunch of energy if they turn their hot water heaters off during the hours that they are not going to need it. My husband won't let me go that far yet!!!

I have also replaced all our lightbulbs with 40 watt bulbs.

There really are alot of ways to conserve if we just take the time to think about it.

Stay as cool as you can,
Pat
