Andy, Bruce: Have a look, if you want, at the results of the translation of Claud's formula on MU's chart. I've nailed the chart to a temporary Web site at: members.aol.com
It certainly is effective in indicating when the bands are widening after a narrow period, even if the formula isn't an accurate translation. Look where it crosses over 10.
The formula, again, is:
((fml("A"))- (llv(fml("A"),20))/(hhv(fml("A"),20))- (llv(fml("A"),20)) +.001)*100
where A is: 4 * Std(C,20)/Mov(C,20,S)
The question remains, what is that .001 for? I've tried moving it around so it would have some significance, but no luck so far. I moved it to the beginning, as in Bruce's suggested translation, but that doesn't change things
