Andy, Bruce: Have a look, if you want, at the results of the translation of Claud's formula on MU's chart. I've nailed the chart to a temporary Web site at:
members.aol.com

It certainly is effective in indicating when the bands are widening after a narrow period, even if the formula isn't an accurate translation. Look where it crosses over 10.

The formula, again, is:

((fml("A"))-
(llv(fml("A"),20))/(hhv(fml("A"),20))-
(llv(fml("A"),20))
+.001)*100

where A is: 4 * Std(C,20)/Mov(C,20,S)

The question remains, what is that .001 for? I've tried moving it around so it would have some significance, but no luck so far. I moved it to the beginning, as in Bruce's suggested translation, but that doesn't change things

Oh, the joys of obsessive compulsive disorder.
