Can the same modems be used with desktop computers? If it has got a slot for PCMCIA cards. Otherwise Novatel has Sage novatelwireless.com an external $350 CDPD modem that you can connect to your serial port. Not for me! Also there is the Sierra wireless MP200 , RS232-C interface and GPS. $939 sierrawireless.com All you need is CDPD service. Maybe that nice AT&T man can sign you up.
