first he says banks shouldn't move to protect themselves when they realize they've overdone it -- it creates unnecessary pain

then he says if they adopt risk avoidance they should command higher multiples --

of course by risk avoidance measures, I guess he means all kinds of fancy derivative contracts whereby the risks are supposedly all transferred to others ...

the talk about allowing banks to fail is hilarious given his bailout of the S&L, the LTCM debacle, Russian crisis, Mexican crisis -- the list would go on and on if we only knew
