Little Mike was was with us, he weighed about 135, and I asked him if he'd like to try a shot. Now that 20 that kicked you so hard had 3/4 oz of shot. Shot weight has the most to do with recoil. The 10 had a payload of 2 1/4 oz, the box of shells even had a warning that they shouldn't be fired by people under 180 pounds. My cousin stood behind him and caught him after he shot the gun.
