Jim, I mentioned a while back that the X-Box CPU will be a "hybrid of the mobile Coppermine and Celeron CPUs." My guess is that there is no dedicated fan for the processor. There will be at least one fan for the entire console chassis, so I guess all of the chips in the X-Box will be cooled with that one fan, much like Playstation 2.

$30 would be less than the marginal cost to make one CPU. I don't think that's the case, or else Intel would be losing money.

On the other hand, $30 per CPU would make more sense as a margin of profit, but admittedly that would be kind of high.
