carl: is shipping far fewer of its Pentium 4 processors than it had planned. He estimated that the company shipped about 3 million units, On Tues, I searched Ingram Micron's SKU's for P4 chips. inventories were about the same level as AMD Athlon. However, the numbers of chips to be delivered in the next 2-3 weeks was far more than that was in inventory. I can only assume that Intel is going to focre feed the channel P4's at whatever price that it takes to sell in volume. They have indicated to analysts that the P4's are coming and coming and coming in the fastest rollout in Intel's history. I am looking forward to the carl-spin response. john
