There will be dips to buy. I suspect a big dip after a substantial runup (best guess is this time is not here yet) will bring deja vu to many goldbugs and send them running to jump ship, creating a buy opp in what is very likely a secular gold bull that will run much longer than the little jiggles we've had the last five years or so.

However, that will be very hard to call at the time.

It may be more a matter of being able to correct course quickly than being right at every juncture. Such things are hard to describe to the thread. I may spend a day with charts/DD/FA/tape and decide on a course of action, find myself proved wrong within an hour or two and immediately reverse that course and action.

Which is exactly what happened early this week with me with my consolidation call for the XAU on BOE day.

Which is why I don't like posting my take very much anymore.

Makes me seem fickle, ggg.

Fortunately I was able to use the increased cash to initiate new positions, though I lost my place in GG and GLG, which jumped too much for me to reenter. No loss really, as I ended up 135% positioned going into Thursday afternoon, there were more entry points on golds than I had funds, ggg.

rails99 did an excellent job of recovering from his cash position (no thanks to me, Mr Consolidation, ggg) and doing a re entry. A sign of a good trader and independent thinker.
