The Emotion chip was 238 mm^2 plus a companion graphics chip which was even larger. IIRC, yield or production problems caused a slower PS2 rollout than Sony had planned. I believe those quoted sizes were on a .25um process. I can think of no reason why they would not be running on a .18um process now. THE WATSONYOUTH
