Not that I think blaming/crediting everything that happens in the economy on/to the Prez makes a lot of sense

Thomas,
the standard was set long ago.
in America, a commander is responsible for everything his unit does and everything his unit fails to do.

if you will allow me to edit your statement by erasing the first two words it makes much more sense to me.

I think blaming/crediting everything that happens in the economy on/to the Prez makes a lot of sense

clearly clinton agrees with me. afterall, during the first election, clinton ran on the theme...
"it is the economy stupid".
during the second it was...
"we are right, they are wrong".
btw, both phrases were coined by that genius of democratic politics...old beady eye himself... every democrat's friend...george carville.

i can't think of 3 positive things that clinton did in eight years for the economy. i can't think of one that he did for our armed forces.
