"Like I have told you the top priority for the WLAN is a different way to build a enterprise level network with mobility(where is covers)."

Ah! Yes.. The Enterprise customer.. WLAN top priority Ehh? Just another attack on QCOM's product potential..

cdma.com

All your theory of stand alone WLAN is just, dream. Not only that won't solve any last mile problem, but also a cost that a shop owner will eventually cut because all the equipment cost, the maintenance and security cost will turn out to be wasted.

Go back and read Dennis's article posted below..

Another article that says forget 3G, on to 4G
biz.yahoo.com

Wireless LAN ``already removes a lot of the immediate applications for 3G,'' says Brett Stewart, founder and president of Wayport, which builds wireless-data networks for airports.

So if WLAN applications are just for enterprise, and the design of such is to keep the individual user OUT.. Why are they saying WLAN applications in public places.. Like Airports are going to lessen the need for 3G services in these public places..

All your theory of stand alone WLAN is just, dream.

Well, if so.. then it is not just my dream.. But you have an entire industry of Companies working on "The Dream" Nokia, Ericsson, Lucent, Motorola, Intersil, Cisco, Alacatel, Siemans, etc..
