they didn't pry as deeply then ...
there was the code of the:

of the lambskins"

somehow we are back to some phase of the Roman Empire
revisited , except what titilates as transgressions now
and falls from grace and human frailty and excess
would seem pale by comparison.

Sexual indulgence exposed , has been percieved as
a complete breakdown of a man's moral character
and fibre ....never mind that we eat and drink
and smoke ourselves to death , 1/3 of
the population being medically obese, and
suffering some kind of depression or
mental disturbance and addiction...

thank heaven for medication, money
and religion, jails....and politicians.

cheery thoughts...the time has come they say
for all to pray .
