They did sign up all the Japanese notebook makers within 9 months after their first shipment. I don't think AMD or INTC had such record. Yes a lot of Cyrixes had tried and failed to beat Intel, but TMTA has somewhat different approach. TMTA is a half-software, half-hardware CPU maker. This is unique.
