Borland had already recovered considerabley; that's why the latest report caused such carnage. Symantec has already been hammered for its poor earnings two quarters ago, so I can't see it going much lower on anything but a terrible earnings report. Novell, for insatance has acted like that. I think the problem, though, is that nobody has a clue as to what is going on in tech right now. Are the gyrations in earnings of Borland, DEC, Altera (and on and on) just a temporary phenomenon, or are they indicative of a slowing sector. I sure can't figure it out.
