As a numismatist for over 35 years, I really enjoy it when the news media makes two very common errors: > Congress is considering ending penny usage. Penny ? They took almost all of the copper out of the cent in 1982. Current composition is copper plated zinc (core is 99.2% zinc, .8% copper, plated with 100% copper)
