As a numismatist for over 35 years, I really enjoy it when the news media makes two very common errors:

> Congress is considering ending penny usage.

Penny ? No such denomination, it is actually called a cent and legislation would have to specify elimination of the cent.

> an advocate of eliminating both our copper friend

Copper ? They took almost all of the copper out of the cent in 1982. Current composition is copper plated zinc (core is 99.2% zinc, .8% copper, plated with 100% copper)
