The problem lies in the ownership of the power generators by private out of state companies that are charging huge profit margins.

I would be tempted to use the eminent domain clause of our state constitution and seize the power generators. I would offer them the price they paid for them when they were bought and send them off to rape another state.

Before I would make such a bold move I would allow the private companies to come to a settlement on a reasonable price that would allow power to run through Ca at a profit to them. If they insisted on exorbitant retail prices then I would give them a taste of their own hardball.

If they insist on playing hardball then I would hit the home run for the taxpayers and send the current price gaugers out of the ballpark. The gov't can do better than 1900 dollars per when we were charged 34 per last year. If the gov't was 50%less efficient we would still be saving 1066. Hey, wasn't that the year William the Conqueror invaded the British Isles? Must be a good oman!!LOL
