*OT* <You are very smart, but you are also an elitist.>

I'll make sure my sons remember that after I die. <GGG>

In contrast to you, I don't explain things away by reference to a fixed and given human nature. In other words, there is no determinism, humans are free, humanity is freedom. Humans, with no support and no aid, are condemned every moment to invent humanity.

Yes, Holy One, in my World, human creative existence comes first. That means, in accordance with my values, there can no longer be an a priori Good, since there is no infinite and perfect consciousness to think it. No whining, no crying, no excuses here because neither within him nor without do creative humans find anything to cling to. Humans are condemned to be Free.

For a Humanist, everything happens as if all humanity had its eyes fixed on him or her and were guiding itself by what he or she does. And every person ought to say to himself, Am I the kind of person who has the right to act in such a way that humanity might guide itself by my actions?

Here are a few questions for you Holy One: Who is it who talks to you? You say it's God. What proof do you really have that it was God? If an angel comes to you, what proof is there that it's an angel? And if you hear voices, what proof is there that they come from heaven and not from hell, or from your subconscious, or a pathological condition? What proves that they are addressed to you?

Humanism means that an individual chooses and makes himself and that it is impossible for a person to transcend humanity. In fact, in creating the individual we want to be, there is not a single one of our acts which does not simultaneously create an image of humanity as we think it ought to be. To choose to be this or that is to affirm simultaneously the value of what we choose. Nothing can be good for a Humanist without being Good for all.

The moral here is that Humanism represents a moral philosophy too. You don't possess a monopoly on Morality.
