Why is it that people who rally against generalizing by race, religion, gender and other issues (of which I agree) find it acceptable to malign a political group based on their beliefs? Isn't that hypocrisy? I often hear the term "The Christian Right" (and I know you didn't make such a remark so I'm not trying to put words in your mouth) used as a slam. Do you think that same type of demagoguery would be acceptable with say someone of the Jewish faith? I don't - Nor should it! Our founding fathers fought to escape, among other things, religious persecution. Have we slipped so far as a nation as to now believe this is acceptable? I'm not trying to be confrontational but you may want to ponder some of these questions before painting conservatives with such a broad brush-stroke. JMO Gloop
