Would the feature used in Transmeta or the new mobile Athlon PowerNow which can 'scale back' the CPU speed in various steps also fraud ? These things is impossible to define very precisely in a one page spec. targetting the consumer. IMO the bottom line for the P4 1.7 case is simply if for most of the tier 1 vendor offerings one can repeatedly demonstrate that under heavy use, the slow down happened in noticeable way, it would be a problem. gary
