Andy,

Pictorially what you are doing looks OK to me.

As we have all said here many times before, we have to use
the indicators we ourselves are most comfortable with. In my
case I use the 21 period slope of the regression to clue me
for direction after the bands have tightened.

While I haven't mentioned this before, I also use a
coefficient of correlation as a secondary guide. It's amazing
how often these two are in perfect sync right at the point of
breakout/breakdown.

One of the problems we have all had here from time to time
are the different software packages we use. That can be quite
frustrating because it means we can't all be on the same page
at the same time. I don't know how we can all get around this
problem but I will give it some thought and maybe we can
address that in New Jersey.

Thanks for your posts/charts. I think there was some news
yesterday or the day before about FINL. I'll check into it.
