Given China's history of honoring "letters of intent", it's certainly not in the bag for SYQT. China signed a letter of intent with Boeing for additional jets but backed out when their political ire ware riled by the US (there's probably such a clause in the letter of intent). I can't figure why China would use a SYQT when the remaining Asian world is going for Zip. Typical of China's past history, though, to "go it alone" (I had a professor in college who spoke Chinese, was part of the Nixon Chinese envoy and who spent most of his class time relating Chinese historical stories, most of which were very interesting...bottom line, Chinese Govt. is different, still living in the Ming Dynasty way of thinking - China against the rest of the world).
