Gordon, What about PG&E taking the money from the sale of the power generators and channeling up to corporate headquarters and protecting it. Now the tax payers have to come up with that money which could have been used to pay the bills. My GOd they gave 50 million in bonus's the day before they declared bankruptcy! We already had to pay for some of their building errors when they incorrectly designed that nuke plant. It seems the taxpayers have to come up with the difference everytime! Also, the energy companies lobbied heavily for that "dereg" bill too pass...........Why? They knew it capped retail costs. Seems to me all of them think the taxpayers will have to pay the cost but not share in the the profit. We have a classical Republican scheme in where we have socialized cost and privatized profits.
