Monday May 21, 4:51 pm Eastern Time Sport-Haley says SEC conducting formal investigation WASHINGTON, May 21 (Reuters) - Sport-Haley Inc. (NasdaqNM:SPOR - news), a maker of golf apparel and outerwear, on Monday said the Securities and Exchange Commission is conducting a formal investigation into the company. The Denver-based company did not provide details of the formal investigation but said the SEC was looking into whether the company or officers, directors, or employees violated any U.S. securities laws. The formal investigation was disclosed in a quarterly filing made with the SEC on Monday. Last November, Sport-Haley disclosed that the SEC had opened an informal inquiry. ``The company previously provided documents requested by the commission and voluntarily provided testimony,'' the company said in Monday's filing. ``The commission has not brought an action against the company, but it may do so in the future.'' No details of the informal probe were provided in the November filing.
