Hong Kong: Pacific Century Cyber Works considers trial move to mainland BBC Monitoring Service - United Kingdom; May 21, 2001 Pacific Century Cyber Works [PCCW] has told its staff that the company's customer service hotline centre may be moved to the mainland on a trial basis in the future. However, no details have been revealed. Speaking after a meeting attended by over 500 staff, the chairman of the PCCW staff association, Ip Kwok-fun, said the management team had failed to guarantee that there would not be any layoffs in the next 12 months.
