Ah, yes ... she was helping Rear get to someplace where his injuries could be treated. "Sorry to say Admiral", said Muffy, "but the closest hospital that will take your medical insurance is a veterinary clinic. " They flagged down a cab and soon were whisked to a veterinary clinic behind what once was a used car dealership - the peeling letters "UPCA" on the sign out front. "I wonder if 'UPCA' would be a good acronym for Precious" thought Muffy... but the Admiral hurried her on. "It looks like the door's over here". When they entered the clinic, there was nobody in sight. "Hello" called out Muffy, "Is there anybody here?" There was no answer except for some squeaking coming from the direction of the animal cages. The Admiral searched around the offices. He tried the office labeled "Dr. Flores", but found no one. Just then they heard a small high-pitched voice. "Muffy, Admiral, I suppose you wonder why I called you here". Muffy and the admiral searched for the source of the voice. It turned out to be coming from a small white mouse. Written above his cage was a crudely-written sign saying "Ben"...
