JNIC...why it's still one of my favorites even after more than doubling in price recently:
"SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 21, 2001--

JNI Grew 168 Percent to Remain Fastest-Growing Among

Major Independent Manufacturers

Independent industry research firm Gartner Dataquest has released new research in the Fibre Channel host bus adapter (HBA) market showing JNI(R) Corporation (Nasdaq:JNIC) is the No. 2 Fibre Channel HBA manufacturer in revenue.

In addition, Gartner Dataquest announced new research showing the Fibre Channel HBA market will grow from $540 million in 2000 to $4.25 billion by 2005.

JNI, which posted $103 million in revenue in 2000, grew from $38.5 million in HBA sales in 1999, a rate of 168 percent. Based on this information, JNI remains the fastest-growing of the three major independent HBA manufacturers in 1999 and 2000. The company holds a 19-percent market share, growing at a slightly faster rate than market leader Emulex over the calendar year, and stayed ahead of No. 3 manufacturer QLogic in market share revenue."

There's more to the press release but you get the idea--MK--
