I must have missed the part of your last post where you answered my question about Hitler's youthful indiscretions. Boys will be boys. How would someone who thinks they are morally superior to God, handle such an individual? You wouldn't judge him would you?
God simply opened the door to let him run. It was human beings who put a stop to it...
As far as comparing Hitler to innocent kids laughing at an old fella and being viciously killed by bears sent by God--please don't sicken the thread by forcing us to judge between the two. The thought is revolting.
Tell us, please do, how we can attain the status of a god, and be just like you
YOU CAN'T.
As for a book that I would choose, how about Paul's letter to the Romans? Are you up to it old boy?
I asked you to choose a biblical book in order that you could maximize the biblical message in favor of your wonderment. I have asked you to take your best shot at anything moral from a thick book. I have asked you to avoid your ugliest nightmares and choose what you think can justify itself above the moral judgement of modern human beings. I did think you would pick ROMANS if you picked anything!! If I had to rewrite the bible, I probably would keep some of Romans!
Greg, (that's my real name, what's yours?)
Many people on SI know my real name. You have not earned that right. I don't know what your real name is, but I will respect your wish to be called GREG.
Before I get down to serious business, I will have a little laugh from 7:18
"For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not."
Paul has nothing GOOD in him, and he finds no way to perform anything GOOD! <ggg>
Don't be impatient! WE have 16 chapters to cover... |
