Paul, I want proof, not some anecdotal stuff that could easily be bad installs or bad heat sinking.

It is true that since most Intel installs are factory installs who have evolved a near optimum of chip and heat sink assembly then Intel will have fewer problems in this arena compared to the SD shops and home installs of AMD processors.
The shops get better and the heat sinks are made with better mounting means that remove operator error so that the home installers also get fewer toasters.

Well, Intel home installers also have these same problems.
