Josephthal, Execs Told by NASD to Pay $3.3 Mln in Fraud Case
By Neil Roland

Washington, May 22 (Bloomberg) -- Josephthal & Co. and two top
executives were ordered by regulators to pay more than $3.3 million
in a case charging they fraudulently pushed customers to buy a
troubled stock owned by the New York-based brokerage.

A National Association of Securities Dealers Regulation Inc. panel
found that the 650-broker firm gave its brokers a special incentive to
sell VictorMaxx Technologies Inc. shares without telling investors
about the arrangement.
