Re : AOL fee hike being the answer -- I guess this will make me sound like the moron, but ... I will post it anyway :

I actually read the AOL monthly fee increase news, well before I saw NZRO moving up.

(And -- I never made the "connection" between the two events).

My opinion of people who use AOL is : they are (for whatever reason ...) incapable of using what I call "the real Internet."

Thus, I figured they would not switch to NetZero, no matter what.
