Venture capital puts in the professional executive, what happens? The entrepreneur(amateur enthusiast) leaves.

AOL was started by entrepreneur, but professionals soon took over. Single priced ISP services was raised to $21.95/month. Cash profits resulted; then they merged with Time-Warner for content delivery. Instant messenger and browser ownership locked out competition. AOL became far and ahead, number one in the business.

Now, unlimited service will be priced at $23.95/month. Multilevel services will draw more customers. Subscribers stabilized after free ISP services failed. Business strategies are like fighting a war, hopefully you win and have a monopoly. Executive experiences also counted when price increase actually increased subscribers. MSN.com and others went the wrong way in emphasizing pricing rather than exclusive features.

Internet will mature and venture capital will put in more professional managers.
