Our 'a' does not look anything like a leading diagonal to me. Did not form decent converging lines and hard to see it in any teeny timeframe as having a 5-3-5-3-5 structure. Looks more likely to me that that 'a' was a flat -- 5 down in the last leg are clearly visible.

I would say that unless there is compelling evidence, do not go for an odd formation like a leading diagonal -- it's pretty rare.
