I said that I had no strong opinion specifically on the Alaskan reserves, but approved of the principle of multiple use (of wilderness areas), instead of locking away all of the minerals they contain. How is that vague nonsense?

Also, I didn't say something vague about "future generations", I said that the rate of oil consumption would depend on various scenarios, and that it was perfectly possible for costs to become prohibitive without more exploration and development for the mid- term.......
