I agree, at this stage ERC seems better value. What is the electrolyte? Sodium or calcium, or? How does the 'burning' of natural gas compare to coal and oil in the production of Co2? Ie. is more or less C02 produced for each Kw hr of electrical power. This will, of course, depend on the efficiency of conversion which might still be improved, but what about in in terms of Co2 per BTU ( or KJ, depending on your preference?) I saw a heat exchange in ERC's web-page, and I remember some discussion at Ballard wrt to heat generation. This is the reciprocal of the conversion efficiency. Any numbers? given that the electolyte is molten, the heat will be at a high temperature, and this is more useful than the same amount of heat at a low temperature- a kettle of boiling water is more useful than a sink of tepid stuff.

Also, how many houses could be supplied by 2-3 MW station, and is this convenient for supplying the gas?

Sorry for the free-flow. I'm in hurry. I do appreciate your info.
