They don't tell you that VW diesel they're raving about is all of 90hp

I have had a desire for one of these, tempered only by the fact that particulates are becoming known as real baddies.
The advent of synthetic diesel may cure a lot of that.

Meantime, the car does have 150 lb-ft of torque (really), so it can get out of its own way.
