I appreciate the response. More info the better. I can confirm the person that I spoke to did say the product was fantastic. I am glad to hear that the fire issues have been acknowledged but I wonder about local ordinances. You know how ridiculous some local zoning/ordinances can be regardless of safety measures or studies provided. I suspect that this will be further scrutinized. As far as disposal of oil, this still remains an issue. Even if the used oil is in a special container, the service people won't be able to throw it in the closest trash can. They are going to have to take it with them for proper disposal. While this is not an obstacle, it could be an annoyance. Yet, if the fries are selling like (pardon the pun) wildfire, this inconvienence could be overcome. Maybe I will take a flyer on this fryer.
