USA Video Interactive Selects Exodus as its
Internet Hosting Provider for StreamHQ™

Mystic, Connecticut, May 23, 2001 - USA Video
Interactive (OTCBB: USVO; CDNX: US; www.usvo.com)
has selected Exodus CommunicationsÒ, Inc.,
(NASDAQ: EXDS), the leader in complex Internet
hosting and managed services, to host the
infrastructure of USVO's StreamHQ™ unique suite
of streaming rich media services and providing a
direct gateway to the Internet.

"The selection of Exodus®, the industry leading
infrastructure hosting provider, is compatible
with our strategy for partnerships with
best-of-breed providers," said Edwin Molina,
President and CEO of USVO. "The breadth and
scope of Exodus' network and Internet Data
Centers (IDCs) both in the U.S. and globally,
will enable our architecture to rapidly scale
with client demand and our services to grow and
expand into other world regions."

Exodus provides a variety of services to help
ensure that its customers' complex Internet
operations are available and secure. In addition
to the reliability, scalability and performance
of its web hosting, Exodus offers a full range of
managed outsourcing solutions. Exodus provides
the Internet systems management expertise that is
critical for providing reliable Internet services
and quickly expanding Internet capabilities.

USVO's first StreamHQ™ rich media delivery
system-consisting of an EMC Symmetrix data
storage array; a collection of database, web,
application, and media streaming servers; Cisco
switches and routers; Oracle databases; and
extensive proprietary software developed by
USVO-will be hosted in Boston, Massachusetts.

"It was both a business and technology decision
to choose Exodus as the link between StreamHQ™
and the Internet," said Mr. Molina, noting that
USVO had considered a number of companies to
provide hosting services. "We believe Exodus
provides the greatest potential for our services
to realize greater market presence and ultimately
greater sales results."

Exodus IDCs
Exodus Communications operates a global network
of IDCs in major metropolitan areas, with close
proximity to major public and private
interconnects to maximize connectivity rate and
overall site performance. Exodus IDCs combine
around-the-clock systems management with onsite
personnel trained in the areas of networking,
Internet, and systems management. The result is a
physical and technical environment affording
customers the reliability and flexibility
necessary to outsource their mission-critical
Internet operations.

The Exodus Network is today one of the largest IP
networks in the world-with a peak Internet
exchange rate of over 14.5 gigabits per second.
Comprising the Exodus Network is a global
backbone, high performance network architecture
and industry-leading public and private
interconnect arrangements-the allied strengths of
which are fundamental to delivering the
outstanding levels of performance and service.

Exodus's high performance, dedicated, and
redundant backbone network connects all of its
IDCs using multiple high-speed OC-3, OC-12, and
OC-48 lines which virtually eliminate the risk of
a single point of failure. Within each IDC, the
LAN architecture scales at a pace equally
aggressive to the increase of customers'
bandwidth requirements. This architecture allows
Exodus to scale in anticipation of customer
demand. At the same time, Exodus is advancing its
Internet node architecture by moving towards more
reliable and far more powerful routers. This
"mesh" configuration eliminates single
point-to-point fiber link failures to ensure the
redundancy allowing for uninterrupted flow of
data across the network.

Exodus' IDCs provide the physical environment
necessary to keep servers up and running 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week. These world-class
facilities are custom designed with raised
floors, HVAC temperature control systems with
separate cooling zones, and seismically braced
racks. They offer the widest range of physical
security features, including state-of-the-art
smoke detection and fire suppression systems,
motion sensors, and 24x7 secured access, as well
as video camera surveillance and security breach
alarms. They deliver the highest levels of
reliability through a number of redundant
subsystems, such as multiple fiber trunks coming
into each IDC from multiple sources, fully
redundant power on the premises, and multiple
backup generators.
Exodus, the leader in complex Internet hosting
and managed services, hosts mission-critical
Internet operations for more than 4,500 companies
worldwide in the world's largest global network
of Internet Data Centers. Exodus provides a
variety of services, including system and network
management solutions and professional services,
to help ensure optimal performance, availability
and security for customers' Web sites.
