Solon, a fascinating article. I must admit that although I knew the gospels were later work, I'd never looked into that. Nevertheless, I'd assumed (because I've heard as received wisdom) that the existence of some one called Jesus Christ, his life as an active preacher, and possibly his crucifixion were all attested historical facts... really interesting. Out of objectivity, then, can any of the Xtians here point me to a refutation of Solon's link, or show me where assertions made in it are demonstrably incorrect? infidels.org (no, I don't accept the bible as a refutation... it's the case at issue).
